Indiana CPA Society Awards $21,500 in 2023-24 Scholarships
This scholarship provides financial assistance to Indiana CPA Society (INCPAS) student members pursuing their accounting degree and entry into the CPA profession.

Seven aspiring CPAs representing six Indiana universities were selected for this year’s Indiana CPA Educational Foundation Scholarship.
This year’s new class of scholarship recipients will receive a total of $18,500:
- Galina Blomenkamp – Graduate Student, Purdue University
- Cooper Davis – Junior, Indiana University Bloomington
- Macie Hadley – Junior, Marian University
- Jessica Luna-Tovar – Sophomore, Marian University
- Kirsten Markey – Senior, IUPUI / Indiana University Indianapolis
- Matthew Organ – Graduate Student, Butler University
- Austin Ramirez – Sophomore, Indiana University Kokomo
In addition, seven previous scholarship recipients have met their renewal criteria and are receiving an additional year of funding:
- Alexis Bergman – Senior, Grace College
- Anna Hulstedt – Senior, Grace College
- Levi Marcum – Senior, Indiana Wesleyan University
- *Malayna Pottschmidt – Graduate Student, Butler University
- Chloe Schramm – Senior, Grace College
- *Sophia Villacorta – Senior, Indiana University
- *Alejandra Ruesga Garcia – Senior, Marian University
*Pottschmidt, Ruesga Garcia and Villacorta graduated from the INCPAS Scholars‘ year-long career awareness and mentoring program.
This scholarship provides financial assistance to Indiana CPA Society (INCPAS) student members pursuing their accounting degree and entry into the CPA profession. Scholarships are $1,000–$2,000 per year and renewable for up to $5,000 total per recipient, dependent on recipient meeting the renewal criteria. It was established in 2021 as part of a strategic initiative to help build the accounting talent pipeline in Indiana by alleviating financial and logistical barriers to sitting for the CPA Exam and obtaining the CPA license.

By awarding these scholarships, we are not only supporting their individual growth, but also investing in the talent pipeline that is so critical to the future of the CPA profession.”
